The Anti Drugs Club of R.B. Gothi Jain College for Women organized an "Anti Drugs Awareness Programme" on 10 July 2026 at Jaigopal Garodia Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Ponneri under the guidance of our Respected principal Dr.Mrs.M.Mahalakshmi with the support of our beloved Vice Principal Mrs.K.Geetha. The programme was conducted with the objective of educating school students about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

NSS co ordinator Ms.Geetha priya explained the importance of self-discipline, positive values and staying away from harmful substances. She encouraged students to focus on education and personal development while contributing positively to society.

She delivered an informative session on the theme “Say No to Drugs, No Regrets.” The presentation highlighted various forms of drug abuse, their adverse effects on physical and mental health, legal implications, and the impact of addiction on families and communities. Students were also educated on strategies to resist peer pressure and make informed decisions.

The programme ended with a Vote of Thanks and expressing gratitude to the school management,  faculty members, students and volunteers for their enthusiastic participation and support.
