The Health and Hygiene Club of R. B. Gothi Jain College for Women organized Lung Cancer Awareness Programme for the 12th Standard students at Guruvoyal Govt. Hr. Sec. School on 1st August 2026, under the guidance of the Respected Principal Dr. Mrs. M. Mahalakshmi and the Beloved Vice-Principal Mrs. K. Geetha.The volunteers presented an informative and interactive session on lung cancer, its causes, symptoms, prevention, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and a pollution-free environment. They also created awareness about the harmful effects of smoking and passive smoking. The programme helped the students understand the significance of early detection, proper hygiene, and healthy habits for protecting their lungs and overall health.
